Fire & Security Engineer

Package

  • Fire, CCTV, Intruder, Access control (ideally all 4 disciplines but would consider 3 out of 4)
  • Salary up to £34k DOE plus travel time, standby, overtime, bonus, commission (adds up to roughly £6k-£12k annual on average on top of basic - can be more if want to take on more call out or overtime)
  • Covering Manchester areas
  • 1/5 Call out rota £720 per week Standby only (Door to door call out paid @ 1.5 )
  • Personal use on all company Vehicles (Van supplied)
  • 20days Annual leave +BH after 5 years this increases 1 Day per year (capped at 25+BH)
  • 8.30-5pm
  • Paid @ 1.5 salary for overtime
  • Paid @ Salary rate ( apart from the first and last 30min of working day) in regards to travel time

Job Summary -

Our client is a reputable and established fire and security company based in Manchester, providing top-quality services to both commercial and residential clients across Manchester and surrounding area. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join their team.

 

Responsibilities and Duties -

  • Service, install, maintain new and existing fire systems, CCTV, Intruder Alarms and Access Control systems
  • Experience on Gent preferred but not essential
  • Diagnose and repair faults on systems to ensure they operate effectively and efficiently.
  • Work closely with our clients to identify their needs and provide them with bespoke solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain good relationships with clients.

 

Qualifications and Skills -

Skills

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a good understanding of fire and security systems.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and practical skills in installation, maintenance, servicing and commissioning of fire and security systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel across the Manchester areas

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in fire and security engineering or equivalent.
  • CSCS/ECS card preferred.
  • FIA Units 1 & 5 qualifications would be an advantage.
